For the purposes of this tutorial, I’m going to create a VERY simple menu just three buttons and a simple background. Note that the Preset menu is set to Custom. * Please look at the tutorial ‘Ps_En_Ae Tutorials 06 Convert a Encore Bluray Project to a DVD Project’for more information on this process. In Photoshop, we start by choosing File > New and entering the image size numbers from the table above into our document: 853 x 480 x 72. There are some Menu templates in Encore, but to alter them I think you use PhotoShop to manipulate the layers. CS6 is the last time it came in the bundle, but as a CC user you should be able to find it in the Adobe CC App. This can be done by choosing the File menu and then selecting New from the drop-down menu. ![]() Next, the user should create a background layer. The size of the document should be 720×480 pixels and the resolution should be 72 pixels/inch. ![]() One of the big issues you will encounter is your highlights on your menus will either be cropped or go out of alignment and your video will suffer from poor quality down-conversion. Adobe Encore is the DVD authoring program. The first step is to open Photoshop and create a new document. ![]() Unfortunately even though Adobe Encore can theoretically export a Bluray / DVD / Flash project from the same project it doesn’t do it well.
